As real surviving
adults functioning in this world, we know better than anybody else providing a unique education to kids come at a
great cost - both financial and mental. If we are to raise well-rounded adults
of the future, we can’t simply throw money at the schools and expect them to
take care of everything. We have to be far more involved in the process than
our parents were, ever!
For schools,
teaching computer
coding for kids has slowly started becoming more popular. They usually pick
up the easiest kids programming language and start teaching kids using online
resources.
However, real
results won’t come just by doing things online - one has to get their hands
dirty and develop interest in kids by introducing them to new toys, puzzles and
games that facilitate learning in this discipline. Fortunately, there is no
dearth of such resources out there. And whether you are the school or the
parent, there is easy access to all these resources.
Of course, at the
same time, it is important that once the kid attains a certain age and has
gained some clarity in the basic STEM concepts, you should have them start
learning at least one kids
programming language.
Don’t think of it
as something extremely difficult that you are imposing on your child - take it
as you would take just another foreign language. Just like the latter opens
many doors for them and enables them to experience a whole lot of new things,
learning coding also helps them unravel this wide, beautiful world and
experience it to the fullest.
If the school
doesn’t provide this service, there are a lot of after-school clubs that your
child can join in order to become adept in these things. After all, where there
is a will, there is a way.
