The Changing Face Of Early Learning Centres

Education is probably one of the single most important aspects of your child’s life. What this means is that we as parents invest a lot of thought and effort into figuring out the best course of action for our children’s future. However, many parents neglect this in the early years. They seem content in the belief that very young kids don’t need anything more than their regular school work. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The reality is that even while your child is attending an early learning centre, it is imperative for them to start picking up on other skills as well. Let’s explore this in more detail.

To say our learning and teaching system is flawed would be an understatement. We raise kids to understand rote learning and expect them to grow simply through memorization and other such devices. We barely give them a real world experience that could potentially teach them a lot more. The result is that we have a bunch of students graduating school every year with no idea why they have been taught what we teach them, and no clue about how it is going to help them further on in life. This is now being addressed in a number of ways. However, these changes need to be implemented early on in life if they are to have any effect at all. What this means is that even at the level of an early learning centre, you need kids to start looking at other courses as well. This is also the reason we have something called a kids programming language. This programming language that has specially been designed keeping kids in mind, aims at teaching young kids how to write code. On the face of it, this might seem like too complex an idea for young kids to tackle. But dive a bit deeper into this and you will realize that it’s the perfect time for children to pick up a skill like this. Children these days are born into technology, what this means is that they are adept at picking up new skills and already have a keen instinct for tech related concepts. Coding helps them fully realize this potential. What’s more, it also teaches them in a more practical manner since kids are encouraged to actually create their own programmes, softwares and games as a result of their learnings.

Be it a kids programming language or some other initiative, the important thing is to start thinking what more value can you add to your child’s life while they continue studying at an early learning centre. If you instill a love for these courses from an early age, it will stay consistent throughout their school life and will hopefully transform into a career choice for them. And when they do decide to pick up a career, they will have a keen head start over the rest of the competition. Identify the right course for your child and watch as they grow and learn.

A Layman's Guide To Coding For Kids

Coding can best be defined as the building blocks on which any program, software or application is built. While it might often go unnoticed, it is the framework on which the entire program functions and it is an integral part of any application. And as we slowly turn into a fully digital society, it is fast becoming one of the most sought after skills out there. It is estimated that by 2030, over 60 percent of jobs will require coding as an essential skill. In such a scenario, the concept of computer coding for kids makes a lot of sense.

The whole idea behind computer coding for kids is to give children a unique education experience. This can be understood in a variety of ways. We have no qualms signing up our kids for computer courses for kids, then why not coding? For starters, experts believe that kids have a natural aptitude for coding. What this means is that they can pick it up much more easily as compared to adults. On the other hand, children are already hooked to technology so this would be a great way to harness this love into something productive. The best part about these computer coding classes is that they focus on the practical aspects of things. While some time is spent teaching kids the theoretical basis, the crux of the class lies in teaching young kids how to write code with the help of programming languages that have been developed just for them.

The end result is that very young kids also start developing their own software and programs. You need to see the results to believe it. So if you are considering trying out computer courses for kids, do give coding a shot. You might end up pleasantly surprised while your little one picks up on an essential technical skill.

Here’s Why Your Kid Needs a Unique Education Experience

Teaching kids to code is just one of the many new fads when it comes to specialized education for kids. As a parent, you might have already enrolled your child for an extra curricular course like coding for kids, however, it is imperative for you to understand why it exists in the first place. Let’s deep dive into this and understand it in greater detail.

Courses like teaching kids to code can essentially be classified as unique education experiences. This is a term that has come to the fore in recent years and is one that helps us better understand this trend of modern education. On the face of it, unique education experiences are literally just that, an attempt to give your child the kind of education few children around the country receive. In a country like India where every classroom has over sixty students, there is nothing unique about what our children study today. Even topping their class is not enough. There are lakhs of toppers every year and right now it seems like almost every kid is doing well across the board. In such a competitive scenario, how does one judge one prospective employee over another? How are the hiring managers of multinational companies expected to pick one candidate over the other? The answer of course lies in the X factor that every new employee, and in this context, every new student, brings. These unique education courses help impart that X factor in students. The aim is to ensure that your child always brings something new to the table. Teaching kids to code is just one of the ways to do it, an extremely effective one at that. Coding is widely regarded as one of the most sought after skills out there. Even if you don’t plan on becoming a coder, it is a skill that will gain you points when it comes to job applications as well. On the other hand, in case your child is not interested in coding, there are a number of different options available as well. The student entrepreneurs programme is widely regarded as the best way to introduce your children to the concept of entrepreneurship. A common thread between all these courses is that they all aim at helping kids understand an actual work environment. Besides teaching them essential skills, these courses also impart necessary life lessons. Overall, kids learn how to be more sincere, dedicated, disciplined and persistent with their work.

Are you on the lookout for a unique education for your child? Do ensure you include them in this decision making process as well. One of the most important aspects of this involves the fact that kids need to be truly invested in these sort of courses. This will come only if you take their opinion. If needed, you can always sign them up for a few trial classes. This will essentially give them a taste of what’s to come. They will then be able to give you feedback on whether or not they are loving the course.
