Give Your Kids An Early Head-Start In Their Career

The current times are extremely competitive. No matter how much we educate our kids and give them the special, rare skills that are highly valued, there will always be a million more children who will be ready to outperform them. As a parent, it’s your responsibility to ensure your kid has all the right tools to truly stand out from the crowd. While you may want to constantly push your kid to achieve more and get better grades, simply being the best at academics is not enough. A great way to hack the system is to ensure your kids have a more level playing field when it comes to starting their career. And here’s how it can be done: When your child is at an early learning center, ensure that you enroll your kid for a number of unique classes that will teach them unique skills.

A great example of this would be computer coding for kids. In simple words, coding for kids is teaching young children how to write code and build software from scratch. While this might sound very complex for a child studying in an early learning center, you must bear in mind that kids these days have a much better grasp of technology. They spend countless hours on smartphones and are smart when it comes to understanding new softwares. So, leveraging this same interest, programming for kids simply helps children channel their interest into something much more constructive. On the face of it, coding for kids is a great way for children to get a head-start on a career in programming. Kids develop an aptitude for coding at an early age and these classes help them explore and improve on those skills. If your child even completes a basic course on coding, he or she will still have an advantage over the rest of their peers when it comes to studying programming at an undergraduate level. Alternatively, if programming doesn’t seem to interest your child, you could take a different approach and try out something like a student entrepreneurship programs. These programs aim at giving children a practical experience of formulating and running their own business. Kids learn a number of key lessons during these exercises, all of which will benefit them greatly in life. These include finances, logistics, operations, negotiating, sales, etc.

Whether you enroll your child for entrepreneurship classes or computer programming for kids, the aim is to give your child a boost in life. Many modern schools are STEM enabled, and already offer these sort of courses as a part of their curriculum and if your child attends one of these schools, you have nothing to worry about. In case your child doesn’t attend a STEM school, there’s still hope. Metropolitan cities like Mumbai have a number of institutes that teach computer programming for kids. These classes are usually conducted just once or twice a week with flexible timings so that they don’t interrupt with your child’s traditional education. The biggest advantage of these classes is that they engage your kids at a truly meaningful level. It helps that they are also extremely fun and most kids love taking on these courses.

How Coding Can Aid An Entrepreneurial Mindset

Several researchers in child education claim that coding can help kids become more prepared for any entrepreneurial inclination that they might harbour. There are several scientific reasons why coding for kids becomes a life skill in the long run, and we shall discuss some of them in this blog.

Practicing coding helps kids become very inquisitive in nature. While math forms a key part of the foundation of learning coding, coding in itself is not very black-and-white. There are a lot of different approaches that one may take to solve a certain problem in coding, or reach a certain result, and all of those involve thinking in an innovative manner, rethinking, and rewriting code.

It is a proven fact that kids with learning disabilities often outperform regular kids when it comes to thinking creatively and this applies perfectly when it comes to programming for kids. While these kids may find it difficult to meet the traditional standards expected by the schools, there are chances that they may excel when it comes to coding. This is because coding involves a lot of creativity and problem solving and looking where the regular mind fails to look.

Several young entrepreneurs program options are open to kids in major cities during the summer vacations, with special programs for the weekends even when schools are in session. Coding often forms an important part of these programs because of how massively it can help kids gain success in the field of entrepreneurship. Even if kids don’t end up building products that are tech based, coding can help them build and execute their businesses much better than what they would have had they not learnt how to code.

Robotics Opens Up New Paths For Budding Entrepreneurs

We are increasingly entering a time where robots will become a part of our day-to-day lives. The way in which the invention of machines led to the industrial revolution back in the day, and changes the importance of labour and the most valuable skillsets changed almost overnight, invention of robotics and its development will lead to a lot of changes in the most demanded skills in the society.

It is because of this reason that kids’ programming language and coding skills are becoming a trend in the bigger cities. Everyone knows how this generation is far more competitive and smart than any other generation that has preceded it. Hence, skills and knowledge that is considered to be ‘geeky’ and ‘nerdy’ today will be needed by every single person.

20 years ago, we considered someone who used the computer to be a smart person and a nerd. Today, it is the basic requirement of every white collar worker. Even blue collar workers need to use them from time to time!!

Similarly, the way we perceive coding and robotics for kids has to change on an immediate basis if we are to raise them in the best possible way. In order to prepare them for a future that involves robotics in almost every aspect of work and lifestyle, they need to understand the basics of robotics and have very strong hold on the stem subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Of course, as a parent in one of the best cities of the country, you have several options to do that. You may either go to an after-school centre or opt for those schools which have such programs for kids of your age. Whichever way you go, make sure you choose the best for your child. All the best!!
